General ManagerHugo has worked in Wimbledon for over 20 years and has built up a strong relationship with his regular customers. Running two restaurants and having three small children is a challenge but one that he relishes. Hugo has a love of seasonal food a passion for wine and service and believes that creating a fun environment to work in benefits both the staff and customers. Head ChefBrooke started his career in Spanish tapas restaurants, Lola Rojo and Rosita in Clapham. He then travelled to Canada to work at the top of Whistler Mountain in the alpine restaurant, Steeps. Brooke returned home to Wimbledon to work at our sister restaurant the Light House. He then moved to The White Onion, a French fine dining restaurant in the heart of Wimbledon village. His desire to travel took him to Perth, Australia to work in Lalla Rookh, an Italian fine dining restaurant. He also worked in a New York Style steakhouse Sentinel, where he met his wife, a Japanese chef. They moved to Brooke’s hometown to start a family and now have two young boys. This diverse culinary journey has led him to take on the Head Chef role at the Light on the Common.Radek Ganczarek
Restaurant ManagerRadek has been working in London for over 15 years. He has a passion for food, wine and coffee. He has worked for small independent restaurants and coffee shops and has experience running large chain restaurants. Radek is focused on training staff to be knowledgeable and efficient to ensure every customer receives the best service and he thrives in a high pressure fast paced environment.
